DC12V/1A is recommended for power input. (Before using it, kindly pay attention to the power jack polarity.)

Maximum 255 sets of computers and 1.2 kilometers.

How will I know the no. of data transactions stored in the reader?

Press ﹙2329258300﹚on the card reader and the no. of data transactions will be presented.

PWR LED of the device won't light.

1. Check if the power is supplied to the device. 

2. Check if the adapter output is +12VDC. 

3. If adapter output is not +12VDC, replace it with a new power adapter. 

4. If the adapter output is normal and the PWR LED won't light, please contact your dealer for support.

What's the advantage of using the function 'check digit'? 

Barcode tends to have misdecoding problems, and users usally overlook it thus resulting to data loss. For a barcode system with all numeric digits contents, it is advisable to activate 'check digit' for re-swipe card warning at time of misdecoding.

How can I change the door relay time of RTA600 Time Recorder?

Under RMS software. Setup\Node Setup\controller settings\Parameter setup\relay time，You can set up door relay time by yourself. Default doory relay time is 4 sec.

What are the cables included in the standard packaging of RTA products?

One piece of RS-232 Cable . (Wire Description: Black-GND, Orange-RD, Green-TD,Blue-DC,White-GND)

Why does RTA-700 and RTA-600 not accept card number '9999'?

Number 9999 and Number 9998 are reserved numbers, hence it cannot be assigned as a card no.

I cannot establish a communication between the software and the device when I connect 2 RTA600.

1. Make sure the jumper is set to RS485 mode.

2. Check your wiring connection.

3. Check settings of software. 

4. If problem persists, kindly get a screenshot of the software settings and provide the database. You may contact your dealer for support.

How to know the version of the hardware?

Restart the device and the version will be shown in the display.

The software cannot detect the device via RS232/RS485 connection.

1. Make sure the jumper is set to RS232/RS485 mode. 

2. Check device's node ID; it should be the same with the software.

3. Make sure the connected port is correct. 

4. Timeout setting of the device should match with the parameter settings of the software. 

5. Make sure you have a secure and tight connection of wires. 

6. Try to send and receive data from the device to see if the device's COM LED flashes accordingly. 

7. If the COM LED did not flash, please contact your engineer to check wire connection and related settings.
