1. Make sure to retrieve and save all data within RAC-800/RAC-900 before you perform NDUMP to prevent data error or data lost.
2. NDUMP file is available in every DOS operating system, the file name is NDUMP.EXE. It generates file name DUMP_XXX.DAT. For example, a DUMP operation is conducted against NODE ID 001, the filename is DUMP_001.DAT.)
3. Copy DSM900.EXE file to C Drive, unzip it and generate a folder named DSM900.
4. Close Windows operating system, go to DOS prompt (best with DOS operating system or the data NDUMP will be incomplete.)
5. Change the directory to
C:\DSM900
6. Execute following command : C:\NDUMP\NDUMP 2,1,131648
2:is for COM2 (If COM1 is connected, then fill in 1 in this field)
1:is for NODE ID. 131648:is fixed parameter or directly input the dumped file size
7. Wait for 3~ 5 minutes and the NDUMP operation will be completed.
8. Execute DIR commend to review the file size.
DUMP_XXX.DAT BYTES
A normal file size is 131648bytes, if not, please repeat step 6. Select the closest figure if 131648 bytes is not obtainable after several trials.
Due to the file is .DAT, it is required to transfer to .TXT or >DBF file.
Execute following command: C:\DSM900.CONV900, click “YES” to start the file conversion
Upon conversion, type EXIT to quit DOS. Go to Windows, look for DUMP_XXX.TXT and DUMP_XXX>DBF files under C:\DSM900 folder. |
